SAVE & SAFE for Children and Young People

The SAVE & SAFE Project was created in response to the growing challenges faced by children and young people, including stress, family problems, bullying, abuse, sexual health risks, HIV, and online threats. Many young people still lack a safe space where they feel comfortable talking about their concerns, seeking advice, or asking for help.

According to Thailand’s Department of Disease Control, in 2024, 48% of new HIV infections in Thailand were among young people aged 15–24. The World Health Organization has also highlighted the concerning prevalence of childhood sexual abuse. These realities underline the urgent need for education, prevention, and accessible support systems that children and young people can turn to when they need help.

Recent serious incidents involving students—including deaths associated with severe emotional distress and violence in schools—have further reinforced our belief that children’s mental health and safety should not be addressed only after something tragic has happened.

SAVE & SAFE therefore brings age-appropriate

educational activities directly into primary and secondary schools. Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes and covers key topics such as body rights and personal boundaries, prevention of sexual abuse, bullying, mental health, sexuality, HIV, online safety, and how to seek help when something goes wrong.

Our support does not end when the school activity is over. SAVE & SAFE also provides a LINE Official Account where students can continue to talk with our team, seek advice, or share concerns in a supportive environment. When a situation requires additional or specialized assistance, our team can help connect the student with appropriate professionals or relevant support services.

The goal of SAVE & SAFE is simple: to equip children and young people with the knowledge to protect themselves—and to make sure they know that when they face a problem, there is someone ready to listen, support, and help.

Our Outreach Team

Our team of educators and coordinators is committed to sharing knowledge and strengthening child safety and well-being for children and young people. We work in coordination with the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) and educational authorities in each province to bring these activities into schools, create safe spaces for children both physically and emotionally, and provide accessible channels where they can seek advice, share concerns, or report situations in which they may need help.
