Who We Are
Nanapond Association was established to provide a safe space for people facing challenges in life, relationships, and family matters, offering free online counselling and support.
In today’s society, many people are living with stress, pressure, relationship difficulties, loneliness, and emotional challenges that can affect their daily lives. Yet not everyone has a safe place, or someone they can speak to who will listen without judgement. Nanapond Association therefore provides online counselling and support to make help more accessible, with a strong emphasis on privacy, dignity, respect, and the safety of every person who reaches out to us.
Through our experience of supporting adults and families, we have also recognised that children and young people face significant stress, pressure, violence, bullying, abuse, family difficulties, and online risks. At the same time, many young people still lack a safe space where they can speak openly with an adult who is willing to listen, give them time, and respond appropriately.
One issue that the Association considers especially important is the situation of HIV and sexually transmitted infections among young people in Thailand.
According to Thailand’s Department of Disease Control, in 2024, nearly half of new HIV infections were among young people aged 15–24. This highlights the urgent need for accurate information, prevention, access to testing and health services, and safe spaces where young people can ask questions and seek help without shame or fear of judgement.
For this reason, the Association expanded its work to children and young people through the Save & Safe Project. The project provides education in schools on recognising unsafe situations, prevention of abuse, online safety, sexual health, HIV and STI prevention, and how to seek help when facing difficult or unsafe circumstances.
Because working with children requires a different level of care and responsibility from working with adults, the Association places strong emphasis on Child Safeguarding in line with internationally recognised principles. This includes appropriate communication with children, protection of privacy, risk assessment, referral when necessary, and the preparation and training of volunteers. Our aim is to ensure that children and young people are heard and supported in an environment that is safe, appropriate, and centred on their best interests.
The Save & Safe Project also provides educational activities in schools and works with schools, education authorities, and relevant government agencies where appropriate, helping children and young people develop greater awareness of personal safety, self-protection, sexual health, and how to access appropriate support.
